SDUK's brands include the Nations favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.


We have an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial Brand Manager to join our team and work on the SDUKs multi-award winning cheddar, Davidstow. This is an end-to-end Brand Manager role with ownership of the Davidstow brand portfolio and P&L. We are looking for a creative marketer who is passionate about working on small/premium brands. This is a hybrid role (3days/week in office) in Weybridge, with some travel to Cornwall required.


YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY


  • Owning the Davidstow brand P&L, leading the delivery of Budget and Strategic Plan volume and financial targets.
  • Building future growth targets and plans for the Davidstow brand within the framework of the overall SDUK Strategic Planning and Budget processes.
  • Owning and shaping the Davidstow brand positioning and framework, Brand World, and the evolution of our Distinctive Brand Assets (DBAs), and ensuring that at consumer touchpoints the brand shows up in ways that are memorable, distinctive and consistent.
  • Managing the Davidstow brand portfolio (packaging and product), and A&P spend, and continually seeking ways to positively impact the brand P&L.
  • Being the driving force for Davidstow brand experience, developing and delivering the strategy and initiatives to ensure that the brand shows up at every consumer touchpoint in ways that are compelling, memorable, distinctive, and consistent.
  • Working alongside Sales team to open up new routes to markets and new ways for consumers to enjoy Davidstow cheddar. Build partnerships with Cornish / South-West brands, retailers and foodservice operators.
  • Championing the Davidstow brand - Regularly share, update, and align plans and activity with Senior Management, Commercial, cross functional teams, and the wider business.
  • Inspiring and engaging external customers behind our plans to ensure maximum support for Davidstow at the point of purchase.

YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE


  • A marketer who loves working on small and / or premium brands.
  • Experienced at working as a similar level within an FMCG business.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial drivers/ levers of the P&L
  • Entrepreneurial flair, comfortable working with small budgets and making a little spend go a long way
  • Experienced in influencing internal stakeholders at different levels of the business, and successfully engaging with external stakeholders such as retail buyers
  • A confident speaker and presenter, with strong influencing skill
  • Creativity: A track record of bringing powerful creative solutions to difficult marketing challenges.
  • Passionate foodies preferred. Passionate about Marketing, people and food!
