£50,000 - £65,000 | Surrey - hybrid working

We have been mandated by one of our clients to find a Project Manager who will be responsible for project managing the strategic development of a major life science site. Essentially we’re looking for an experienced consultant who understands public sector estates planning, preferably in health or life sciences.

This Project Manager role is likely to suit a candidate who has demonstrable experience in Architecture or Masterplanning. Please note this is a hybrid working role and you can expect to be onsite 3-4 days per week as required by the needs of the project.

The successful candidate will

As Project Manager for Estates Planning your activities will include managing client needs (processes and stakeholders), plot management for the client’s estate, and Estate Development Control Plan management. You’ll also be involved in:

  • Technical Board management and reporting.
  • Management of business processes for the planning function.
  • Assisting the client in developing robust information in support of project delivery and implementation.

Our client is looking for

  • Significant experience with Public Sector Estates teams and the delivery of Estate Planning projects; experience of high containment environments and laboratories is highly sought.
  • Proven track record of a consultative approach to client work and well-developed stakeholder management. Strong relationships with technical partners and sector specialists and experts.
  • A data-driven analytical approach to inform strategic decision making.
  • Significant experience in the construction industry and/or public sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or in the construction industry/sector.
  • Chartered status (ARB/RIBA, RICS, CIAT, CIBSE).
  • Project Management qualification (such as PRINCE2 or APM).
