They are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Assembler & Fitter to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a relevant college qualification, confidence in reading technical drawings, and a willingness to learn and grow within a highly specialised industry. This role offers a blend of hands-on mechanical assembly, technical problem-solving, and opportunities for travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and production tasks, ensuring the efficient and high-quality completion of projects.
  • Build and prepare mechanical sub-assemblies, adhering to detailed specifications and technical drawings.
  • Assemble pneumatic systems, bearing housings, and related components with precision and care.
  • Conduct alignment of systems to ensure accurate performance and compliance with design parameters.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues during assembly and testing to maintain optimal system functionality.
  • Engage in ongoing training to expand your expertise in a niche market area.
  • Participate in site installations, customer support, and training sessions, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • A relevant college qualification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Confidence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a specialised market.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, including pneumatics, bearing housings, and alignment tasks (preferred but not essential).
  • Basic understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial environment.
