We are a nurturing and homely nursery setting in Weybridge, looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join our team! This exciting opportunity also comes with the added responsibility of being the 3rd in charge, supporting our management team and ensuring the smooth running of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Room Leader:

  • Lead and supervise a small team of nursery practitioners, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Take responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum for your designated room.
  • Ensure that children's individual learning and development needs are met in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Support the management team in leading the room and working towards achieving the nursery’s goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Guide and mentor staff, helping to develop their skills and knowledge through regular training and support.
  • Ensure the room meets all health and safety standards, adhering to safeguarding regulations.
  • Assist in the management of resources and room organisation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children’s development, progress, and activities.

What We’re Looking For in a Nursery Room Leader:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (required).
  • Experience working in a similar setting, ideally in a Nursery Room Leader role (though not essential).
  • Passion for working with children and creating a nurturing environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to children’s needs.
