We are seeking a Director of Student Support Services to join our leadership team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the student experience, focusing on developing skills beyond academic and vocational learning. The successful candidate will be an outstanding manager, acting as a role model across the College, and will be responsible for all student support functions.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Lead and promote the College’s ethos and values, ensuring the student experience is central to College life.
- Develop a student-focused learning culture, utilising best practices and innovative delivery methods.
- Oversee the administration of student support services including Admissions, Additional Learning Support, and student behaviour management.
- Coordinate with the Head of Admissions & Communications to oversee PR, marketing, and digital communications strategies.
- Ensure support for students with learning needs and Education and Health Care Plans.
- Develop and implement a personal development program to enhance students' skills and community engagement.
- Produce reports and updates for the senior management team and the Governing Body on strategic aims and significant issues.
- Degree or equivalent relevant professional qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of the post-16 educational context and government policies.
- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in overseeing quality assurance in an educational setting.
