GTS Finance is recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services firm seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional looking to provide hands-on support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the RoleAs an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to staff, partners, and clients. You will manage the IT helpdesk, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure smooth operations across multiple office locations. Based in Weybridge, this role will require regular travel to London and other offices, with travel expenses reimbursed. Occasional out-of-hours and weekend work may also be required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IT support and troubleshooting for desktops, servers, and voice systems
- Maintain core IT systems, including installations, updates, and preventative maintenance
- Manage the internal IT helpdesk system, logging and resolving issues efficiently
- Support new starters with device setup and voice/data provisioning
- Work closely with the Senior IT Manager to maintain high service standards
- Ensure data backups, log maintenance, and system security are up to date
- Collaborate with external suppliers for system escalations and maintenance
- Assist with special IT projects and infrastructure improvements
- At least one year of IT support experience in a Windows environment
- Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Confident with Microsoft OS, Office 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience with remote desktop support tools and troubleshooting hardware/software issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support users at all levels
- A customer-focused mindset with a proactive and positive approach
- Willingness to travel regularly and work occasional out-of-hours shifts
- Knowledge of MS 365 platform, Intune, Autopilot, and Teams Voice Management
- Previous experience in a financial services or IFA environment
- Familiarity with Intelligent Office, SANs, and Exchange Server administration
- Work in a fast-paced and collaborative IT environment
