We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled MFL Teacher to provide maternity cover at various secondary schools in Surrey, starting this September. This role is an excellent opportunity for educators who are passionate about languages and are eager to inspire students in their language learning journey.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver compelling MFL lessons to students of varying backgrounds and abilities, ensuring high levels of engagement and effective language acquisition.
- Develop lesson plans that comply with the national curriculum and cater to a range of learning needs in languages.
- Regularly assess student progress in language skills, providing constructive feedback to aid their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives that promote language learning across the school.
- Engage in meetings with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies for support in language education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in teaching MFL at the secondary level.
- A thorough understanding of modern foreign languages and pedagogy.
- Strong classroom management and motivational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive and differentiated instruction to meet all students’ language learning needs.
