Job Purpose: We are seeking a motivated Software/Test Technician to maintain and manage applications of current and developing technology. This role involves undertaking engineering verification and the operation of printing solutions, factory line solutions, and their associated modules with a strong focus on quality. This is a great opportunity for somebody with an interest in software testing who is looking to learn more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and select appropriate techniques, procedures, and methods to undertake tasks.
  • Use scientific, technical, or engineering principles to complete tasks.
  • Identify problems and apply methods to find satisfactory solutions.
  • Organise and use resources effectively, considering cost, quality, safety, and environmental impact.
  • Work reliably and effectively without close supervision.
  • Accept responsibility for your own work and that of others.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels in English.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and the public.
  • Understand and comply with relevant codes of conduct.
  • Maintain and enhance competence through Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Essential:
    • Knowledge of Bug Reporting Tools.
    • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
    • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Desirable:
    • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.
    • Appreciation of hardware and real-time control systems.
    • Proven experience in Software Testing.
