The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Senior ILS Engineer?

  • Tailor ILS activities to meet customer, user, and internal requirements.
  • Collaborate with design teams to enhance reliability, maintainability, and usability in product designs.
  • Develop optimized support solutions that align with product roadmaps.
  • Conduct analyses, including life cycle cost, level of repair, sparing, failure modes, and effects analysis.
  • Define and verify support requirements, ensuring progressive assurance of support solutions.
  • Perform reliability and maintainability modelling to refine support strategies.
  • Assess human factors in system designs and mitigate potential human error risks.
  • Prepare or contribute to technical documentation, such as troubleshooting guides and maintenance manuals.
  • Develop and implement obsolescence strategies for product lines.
  • Continuously improve processes, policies, and procedures.

What are we looking for in our next Senior ILS Engineer?

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical equivalent, or possess equivalent experience (e.g., military background in mechanical or electrical disciplines).
  • Demonstrate expertise in Reliability and Maintainability (e.g., Reliability Prediction, RBDs, FMECAs, FRACAS).
  • Have the ability to review and understand work across other ILS domains:
    • Integrated Logistics Support: Life cycle costing, sparing, obsolescence.
    • Operational Analysis & Whole Life Cost Modelling: Business case development, availability trade-offs.
    • Training: Design, development, and delivery.
  • Possess or be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) or higher.
  • Hold a full driving license and be willing to travel occasionally to sites, suppliers, and customer locations.
  • Experience with tools like PTC Windchill, Isograph, or similar modelling software is an asset.
