A leading UK Fashion Retailer is looking to hire a Chief Architect to transform and improve the architectural processes to bring them to the modern age.

As a Chief Architect, you will join a team of 10 architects to support their transformation journey to invest in data-driven architecture whilst supporting complex legacy ERP/OMS Systems.

This involves creating control and sustainability in architecture by creating clear, coherent roadmaps to justify the relevance of how/why and be the voice within tech to represent the architectural needs internally and externally.

Location: 2 days fortnightly in Weymouth (Travel comp)

Salary: £130,000 + car allowance

Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and strategic vision to the architecture team that promotes technology functions internally and externally.

You will be accountable for the quality of the technical output from the architecture team, ensuring designs are aligned with technology strategy, needs and best practices.

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in leading an architecture community, with examples of influencing IT standards, services, design, architecture principles, solution modelling and system behaviour.
  • Experience in leading retail technology; strategies, policies, governance, guidelines and practices. (Desirable experience in supporting change/transformation within an architecture community)
  • Experience working with Cloud Platforms with experience in at least one of Azure, AWS, GCP (Preferable Azure)
  • Experience in supporting technology leadership in developing and communicating portfolio programs to ensure internal and stakeholders agree.
  • Good understanding of modern DevOps and automated testing methodologies such as CI/CD, BDD, TDD etc.
