A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled social media professional to join a well-established organisation in the travel and leisure sector.

The Social Media Executive will take ownership of the social first content and be a key part of their wider marketing campaigns. Bringing the brand to life through engaging content to charm the audience.

If you have a flair for creative storytelling, a good understanding of social media platforms, video editing software, and scheduling tools, then this is the role for you! You will also need a keen eye for design, strong copywriting skills, and excellent organisational abilities to juggle deadlines.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy that drives organic growth and engagement across all major platforms.
  • Create high-quality content (copy, photography, and graphics) for the group’s social media pages.
  • Manage and curate the content library to ensure it’s always fresh, relevant, and reflective of the company brand identity.
  • Collaborate with external marketing agencies on paid social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with the company brand goals.
  • Craft engaging, creative copy for email campaigns that resonate with Waterside’s audiences.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with campaign planning and execution.
  • Present campaign ideas and performance results to internal teams, showcasing the impact of your work.
  • Capture and produce captivating photos, videos, and graphics that tell the story visually.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance, regularly reporting on key metrics.
  • Implement organic advertising campaigns to drive awareness and bookings.

Skills and experience required:

Essential

  • Proven experience using social media platforms to drive brand engagement.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling stories.
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced
  • The confidence to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • In depth understanding of social media platforms, video editing software, and scheduling tools.
  • A full driving license and access to your own vehicle, as travel between Dorset and Cornwall will be required.
