Head of Procurement, £70,000, West Dorset
Rubicon’s Executive Search & Selection Division has been appointed by a manufacturing company to support their search for a Head of Procurement. Reporting directly into the the board you will have a unique opportunity to shape the procurement strategy as well as leading the teams to ensure that procurement, stores and facilities across the group meet with the company's supply chain commitments.

As Head of Procurement you will benefit from; a healthcare package, 25 days plus BH (3 days off over Christmas), extra holiday incentives, plus an early finish on Fridays.
As Head of Procurement you will:
• Lead and mentor the procurement, stores, logistics and facilities teams to achieve optimal supplier performance, compliance and cost management
• Implement and maintain replenishment systems for stock
• Develop and implement strategic direct and indirect sourcing plans aligned with the business’s objectives
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and value
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems, in line with the business’ sustainability goals
• Produce detailed and accurate procurement reports
The ideal Head of Procurement will have:
• MCIPS qualification (or working towards) - advantageous but not essential
• Significant experience in procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong leadership skills and a track record of managing high-performing teams
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities
• A strategic mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the business
