Our client, a well-respected and growing domiciliary care service, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Domiciliary Care Service Manager to lead their team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to their clients within the community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with a strong understanding of the domiciliary care sector to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and fostering a positive and supportive working environment for your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality domiciliary care services, ensuring they meet the individual needs and preferences of clients.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality assurance systems, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and other relevant documentation.
  • Monitor and respond to client feedback, addressing concerns and implementing improvements as necessary
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise care staff, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Develop and implement effective staff rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet client needs.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to care staff, promoting their professional development.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies, including CQC standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money.
  • Liaise with external agencies, including healthcare professionals, social services, and families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the service's business plan.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for service growth and development.

Essential Requirements:

  • A recognised degree or professional qualification in health or social care (e.g., Social Work, Nursing, Health and Social Care Management).
  • Proven experience in a management role within the domiciliary care sector.
  • A thorough understanding of CQC regulations and best practice in domiciliary care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent IT skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience of managing budgets and resources.
  • Experience of business development in the domiciliary care sector.
  • Relevant management qualifications.
