I am looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Co-ordinator to join a market leading manufacturer on a 12 month FTC at their flagship plant in Derbyshire. You will responsible for providing support across the site, driving & creating a safety culture. As well as assisting the UK HSE Manager maintain the UK-wide HSE management systems.

Description
- Providing EHS advice to the site management team and staff
- Carry out and review risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks
- Assisting Plant Managers with updating and reviewing the EHS procedures for each site including the Emergency procedures file
- Assisting with incident investigation and reporting, as required
- Assisting Plant and Production Managers with compliance requirements on a 'as required' basis
- Ensuring that each site understands and maintains the necessary level of compliance documentation
- Attending quarterly EHS meetings at site
- Ensuring audit and inspection issues are undertaken and then entered onto the relevant online platform
- Provide back up, and work in tandem with, the UK EHS Manager
- Assisting Plant Managers with maintaining environmental site records including the waste matrix, investigating environmental incidents, tracking energy use etc
- Liaising with internal and external auditors to facilitate on-site audits
- Assisting Plant Managers with producing appropriate EHS documentation
- Liaising with external assessors to facilitate assessments on fire, noise, dust, legionella
Monday - Friday (09:00-17:00 - Flexibility is offered)
Profile
An experienced HSE Advisor/Co-ordinator that has ideally worked in a manufacturing environment, as well as:
- Trained to NEBOSH qualification is a must
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to train and educate staff on HSE matters
- Knowledge in ISO14001/18001 is desirable
