New Business Development Manager – Folding Boxboard  

Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance

Hybrid (Midlands)

 

As an expert in selling sustainable packaging solutions, mainly folding boxboard, you’ll play a crucial role in promoting and selling the companies inhouse facilities to clients across the UK. Your ability to understand customer needs, communicate effectively, and drive sales will be essential to exceed as a BDM.

To thrive in this role, you must have proven experience in B2B sales within the folding boxboard industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, be self-motivated and results-oriented, familiar with CRM software and have the flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events.

Please note, while this is a hybrid role you will need to be based local enough to attend head office/the factory when required. Therefore, you will be based in/across the following areas: South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham and Warwickshire.

 

Your main responsibilities as a BDM will include:

  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Identify potential clients and generate leads within the carton packaging industry.
  • Understand customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Present carton packaging solutions to clients, emphasizing benefits and value.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure sales.

 

  • Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand your professional network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (production, design, and logistics) to meet client requirements.

 

  • Product Knowledge:
  • Develop a deep understanding of various types of folding boxboard
  • Stay informed about innovations in carton design, sustainability, and printing techniques.
  • Educate clients on the features and benefits of different carton solutions.
