Location: Cranfield
Salary: £27.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting an Antenna Project Design Engineer for one of our renowned automotive clients based in Cranfield. This is an exciting long-term contract opportunity to work with a global leader in the automotive industry, contributing to the design and development of advanced antenna systems for vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage in-development and in-production parts and suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Oversee the Bill of Materials (BOM) management for cabling, antenna, and infotainment auxiliaries.
• Conduct digital and physical layout checks for components.
• Perform inspections at production facilities to ensure efficient fitment and production processes.
• Lead design reviews at key project milestones to ensure adherence to deadlines and project goals.
• Ensure design releases align with project schedules and meet required standards.
• Achieve annual cost reduction targets through efficient design and production techniques.
• Provide plant support where necessary to resolve production-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in managing BOM for manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Office 365 tools, including Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
• Fluent in written and verbal English with excellent communication skills.
• Practical experience with problem-solving tools and a strong mathematical understanding.

Desirable:
• Experience with harness/cabling layout for mass production.
• Familiarity with vehicle layout design, Teamcenter, or NX CAD.
• Basic technical understanding of antenna systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and take ownership of deliverables.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 39 hours per week
• £27.00 per hour
