We are recruiting a Vehicle Test Technician (Navigation & Connected Car) to join a globally recognised automotive company based in Cranfield. This long-term contract role offers the potential for several years of work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform automotive electrical and electronic tests related to HMI, Navigation, Infotainment systems, Telematics, and mobile phone applications.
• Work according to a project schedule to ensure timely completion of test activities.
• Execute test cases aligned with defined scenarios in both static and dynamic conditions.
• Analyse test results and report on software quality, including identifying defects, tracking defect status, and communicating with stakeholders.
• Conduct basic vehicle disassembly to access key components within the vehicle.
• Utilise vehicle diagnostic tools for testing and analysis.
• Prepare and maintain vehicles or components for testing, adhering to local procedures and clients engineering manuals.
• Support testing in various conditions to gather accurate, timely, and quality test data/results.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers to evaluate and identify concerns.
• Contribute to meeting the Key Performance Indicators for the section.
• Provide support to other sections as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:
• C&G / BTEC L3 qualification preferred, ideally in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or relevant qualification.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for report writing and presentation preparation.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Interest in smartphones and mobile applications.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of vehicle systems and the ability to fault find.
• Valid UK driving license required.
• Experience with APP testing is advantageous.

Hours & Pay:
• Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
• £18.01 - £19.00 per hour.
