Test & Development Engineer

We are recruiting for a Test & Development Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield.
You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company.
This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years.

Key Responsibilities of the Test & Development Engineer:

• Testing by Digital and/or Physical evaluation of vehicle systems and products.
• Dynamic, Digital and bench test Evaluation of vehicle systems (which could include Rattle & Squeak, Environmental Testing, Visibility, Lamps, Ergonomic evaluation, Seat Comfort, HQF
• Concern investigation, root cause analysis & countermeasure investigation with relevant stake holders
• Project management of your tasks and reporting to line management
• Data analysis
• Manage testing to achieve internal QCT (Quality, Cost and Timing) objectives.
• Clearly present study & test results
• Create accurate development test reports
• Deliver projects to the milestones and within the required budget

Qualifications & Experience for the Test & Development Engineer:

• Technical Degree/Certification or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Testing environment including Proving Ground and Hydraulic 4 Post shaker facility experience, ideally exposure within the Automotive Industry.
• Have good & clear communication skills
• Have a current Full Driving Licence
• Flexibility to travel both within the UK and abroad
• Be competent with PC applications, MS office etc.
• Self-motivating and self-managing.
• Pro-active and positive.
• Energetic personality and flexible regarding working practice and hours.


Hours & Pay for the Test & Development Engineer:

• Monday to Friday
• 39 hours per week
• £27.00 p/h
