Electrical Maintenance Engineer required for permanent opportunity at long-established, manufacturer on Ipswich outskirts (Wherstead side). Working independently and with engineering and other maintenance / plant personnel, the successful candidate will perform preventative and routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
Duties will include:
- Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, compressed air systems, motors and facilities equipment / infrastructure.
- Provide electrical repair / maintenance and installation of electronic controls / equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance, inspections, fault finding and adjustments on all production and facilities equipment.
- Installs and modifies manufacturing and facilities equipment.
- Participates in plant safety and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed.
- Purchasing of replacement and repair parts to rebuild / repair equipment in a timely manner within budgetary constraints.
Required experience:
- Previous experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment working with Industrial electrical systems, machine electrical systems and controls, PLC / HMI, EBMS, troubleshooting and repair essential
- Ability to utilize Engineering drawings, ELDs, schematics, illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the installation, repair, modification and maintenance of equipment required.
Starting salary is c40K per annum (Based on working a 36 hour week). Benefits include 25 days holiday (plus BH), pension and life insurance.
