We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in the Ipswich area.
Role Overview:
As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with special educational needs in a variety of educational settings. Your role will involve providing one-on-one support, assisting with learning activities, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs in their daily learning activities.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to enhance student participation and confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development of resources and materials for students with SEN.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development (preferred, but not essential).
