The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant/Sports Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of students while fostering a love for sports and physical activity. You will work closely with teachers to create an engaging learning environment and assist in the delivery of curriculum-based activities, as well as promoting physical fitness and teamwork through sports coaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the classroom with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Support students with their learning, ensuring they reach their full potential.
- Plan and deliver engaging sports activities and coaching sessions.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress in both academic and physical education settings.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant or sports coaching role is desirable.
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education or sports coaching (e.g., Level 2 Coaching Qualification, Teaching Assistant qualification).
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
