Insurance Sales Executive

JOB REQUIREMENTS;

The purpose of this role profile is to outline the key responsibilities, tasks, and standards expected within the role detailed above. All staff are expected to act with integrity, within their limits of authority, and comply with all applicable regulations at all times. The role supports both Agent and Agency in maintaining retention targets and supporting growth while providing excellent customer service and treating customers fairly. Staff will act with due care, skill, and diligence required in their role and support the three strategic objectives of our client:

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities:

  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of both the clientand the clientsgeneral Insurance products, including product licenses and competencies for your role as applicable.
  • Support the Branch, covering other roles as needed to maintain required levels of customer service within authority limits and to contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Branch.
  • Maintain record-keeping requirements for your role in accordance with the clientsstandards.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned by Agent / Senior Agent.

Prospecting:

  • Research and implement sales & marketing initiatives, including any central campaigns, across all business areas to build a pipeline for opportunities.
  • Identify, analyse and collate data relating to existing customers to generate prospects for General Insurance products and potential cross-selling opportunities for RMS and Life sales.
  • Deliver strategically aligned sales and marketing activities to achieve growth, profitability, and product targets and develop local marketplace potential.
  • Generate publicity for the Agency to raise profile and create opportunities, in accordance with the clientsstandards.

Selling:

  • Maintain own knowledge and skills to sell professionally and compliantly, delivering a consistently good experience to customers to meet the requirements and standards of the client, T&C scheme and our regulators.
  • Prospect and sell General Insurance products to target customers that are designed to meet their long-term needs, are compliant with sales quality and advice standards and regulatory requirements, to meet personal and Agency targets.
  • Identify and initiate cross-selling opportunities and activities to new and existing customers.
  • Collate, analyse and evaluate relevant customer personal, business, and financial information to complete Fact Finds, provide information and recommend products and services that meet their needs in line with licensed authority.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, develop and generate Risk Management Service leads from existing and new customers to meet relevant targets and reinforce the relationship with and the reputation of the client

Financial Services:

  • Identify potential cross-selling opportunities for Financial Services.

Client Money:

  • Implement customer money collection and processing procedures to meet the clientskey financial requirements and credit control policy.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to form and nurture relationships.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to develop a pipeline of prospects and drive these through to new sales.
  • Demonstrate attributes of honesty, integrity, due skill, care, and diligence at all times.
  • Good IT skills to use Microsoft programs and specific NFU Mutual systems, such as Dynamics, iFaces, and iAchieve.
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships where applicable with customers, the Agency team, and relevantstaff.
  • Full UK driver's licence and access to your own car for customer visits.
  • Experience in the insurance/financial services sector is preferable but not essential.
