About The White Hart:
The White Hart is a beautiful and historic pub located in the heart of Whitchurch. This popular pub boasts a loyal local following and attracts visitors from further afield with its delicious food, well-kept Arkell's beers, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pub contains a total of 15 letting rooms, All the rooms at the White Hart have individual character offering a versatile amount of accommodation.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager to lead the team at The White Hart. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the pub, ensuring that our customers receive the highest standard of service and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the pub's operation, including:
- Financial performance:managing budgets, maximizing revenue and profitability
- Stock control:ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels
- Staff management:recruiting, training, and motivating your team
- Customer service:ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships with regulars
- Marketing and events:promoting the pub and organizing events to attract new customers
- Compliance:adhering to all relevant licensing laws and health and safety regulations
- Maintaining the pub's appearance:ensuring the pub is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming
- Building a strong team spirit and fostering a positive working environment
- Working closely with Arkell's Brewery to ensure the pub is meeting its full potential
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as a successful General Manager or Assistant Manager in a busy pub environment
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong financial and business acumen
- A genuine enthusiasm for real ale and pub culture
- A personal license holder
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations
