Job Description

Were seeking an experiencedMaintenance Supervisor to join a global, market-leading company specialising in innovative, technology-driven logistics solutions. This exciting opportunity is based in Whitchurch!

In this role, you'll support the Engineering Manager, lead a team of engineers and ensure all equipment downtime is minimised. Youll take a hands-on approach, working on both mechanical & electrical repairs.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Assist the Engineering Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Maintenance department
  • Perform mechanical and electrical planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance
  • Ensure equipment is fully operational with minimal downtime
  • Assign, prioritise, and plan team workloads effectively
  • Manage compliance with HSE regulations (Legionella, DSEAR, LOLER, PUWER, COSHH) using maintenance software
  • Supervise and coordinate external contractors
  • Enforce health and safety policies across the department
  • Keep risk assessments and SOPs updated and compliant
  • Drive continuous improvement and hit KPIs by identifying team training needs
  • Implement personal development plans for each team member

Hours

Days, 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm

Pay

£45,000 - £47,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Skills/Experience Required

Essential

  • 3+ years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance
  • Proven team management experience
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with maintenance software, Windows and Excel
  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NVQ, BTEC, NNC or equivalent)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and task prioritisation abilities

Preferred

  • Experience with refrigeration or ammonia systems
  • 17th or 18th edition qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safety certification
