Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mathematics education to students aged 14-19, fostering their academic growth and preparing them for future careers in engineering and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure all students make progress.
- Assess, record, and report on students' progress and achievements, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the mathematics curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and integrate mathematics into broader engineering and technology projects.
- Support students' academic and personal development through mentoring and additional support sessions as needed.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and events that enhance the student experience at UTC Heathrow.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and discipline, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
- Engage with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to support students' educational progress and wellbeing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of teaching mathematics at the secondary level, preferably including experience with Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
