Several full time Production Meat Packers required in rural North Shropshire near Whitchurch to join growing team within a food processing plant working 4 days a week between Monday to Friday with optional weekday overtime available , paid at a premium . These roles are long term only, probation period through Swift Temps Ltd with a permanent contract issued after 12 full working weeks
Duties of a Production Meat Packer will involve :
- Evaluate meat products for quality before packing
- Sort meat by size , cut and weight
- Preparing boxes and packing for specific order
- Loading and unloading materials
- Working to targets to maximize packaging efficiency
- Labelling and recording packed goods
- Maintaining the separation of customer products
- Assisting other employees with moving packed goods into freezers and dispatch department
- Hand packing goods into packaging working to targets
- Prepare meat products for sale including wrapping meat cuts
- General housekeeping maintaining cleanliness and organisation of packing area
- Operating packing machines
- Working independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
- Handling chilled and frozen goods
Hours / Day work:
- Basic hours: 4 days a week , rotational day off between Monday to Friday. No weekends (4 on/ 1 off shift pattern )
- Hours of work 7am up to 6/6.30pm
Pay/ Benefits:
- First basic 40 hours within 4 days: £12.00 ph.
- Overtime after 40 hours within scheduled 4 working days: £16.00ph
- Overtime 5th working day Monday to Friday after 40 hours: £18.00ph
- Standard 4 day working week on a rota with a 4 -day weekend every 5 weeks

Requirements:
- Food Production or processing experience
- Basic maths skills to accurately count stock
- Own reliable transport
