Location: Whitehaven

Salary: £30,000 to £32,500

Our well-established client, renowned for their excellent reputation, is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their team in the Whitehaven area.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supervising a small administrative team while ensuring smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing SAGE 50 operations.
  • Operating sales ledger functions, associated systems, and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
  • Preparing and maintaining VAT records and returns.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Preparing accounts and expenditures using the nominal code system.
  • Performing bank statement reconciliations.
  • Processing payments accurately and on time.
  • Assisting with audit preparation to meet regulatory requirements.
