Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to be engaged on a permanent basis in Cumbria.
Job Role:
- On site focal point for welding and quality control
- Familiarisation with specific welding and fabrication documentation prior to commencement of welding, e.g. fabrication drawings, WPS, inspection and test plan etc.
- Inspection of welding and welding related activities before, during and after completion of welding
- Liaison with NDT subcontractor and review of completed NDT reports including review of radiographs
- Liaison with client on welding & NDT related activities
- Recording of welding and quality related information for QC records
Qualifications / Experience:
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (minimum) / CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector (preferred)
- PCN Radiographic Interpretation Level 2
- Experience in nuclear industry preferred
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- SC Clearance or to be willing to undertake this
