Mechanical Workshop Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Workshop Technician to join a reputable engineering company based in South East Kent.This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to work in a dedicated workshop environment, focusing on mechanical repairs, refurbishments, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling industrial mechanical components, including pumps, motors, and gear systems

  • Diagnosing faults, assessing wear and tear, and identifying appropriate repair solutions

  • Using precision measuring tools to check tolerances and ensure correct alignment

  • Conducting mechanical overhauls and refurbishments in line with industry standards

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized workshop environment

  • Following health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with company policies

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally with an apprenticeship background

  • Hands-on expertise with rotating equipment, motors, and industrial machinery

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work methodically

  • A proactive approach to maintenance and repair work

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
