The Role:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic support worker to support a young lady with learning disabilities who is also profoundly deaf. They will be reliable, enjoy being part of a team and be motivated to provide support to promote the best life possible.

The role will include support with all daily living skills including:

  • Some low-level personal care
  • Housework
  • Meal preparation
  • Managing medication
  • Accessing the community
  • Generally getting out and about to enjoy life

The Candidate:

Ideally the successful applicant will hold a qualification in British Sign Language or have BSL as their first language however further training is available to improve skills for the right candidate.

The post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 - 4 and is subject to DBS check and references.
