Plating Operator

Location: WhitstableWorking Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a commitment to quality and safety? Join our team as a Plating Operator, where you will play a critical role in our finishing processes, ensuring high standards and compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow relevant documentation to perform plating and finishing processes to company standards.
  • Strictly adhere to company processes, manufacturing instructions, and health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with quality procedures, including product and system quality.
  • Execute tasks in line with the production plan and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify and apply correct jigging methods for various parts, wiring, or barrelling techniques.
  • Safely handle chemicals used in the plating department, following all established procedures.
  • Utilise x-ray spectrometers and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness and conduct visual inspections to company standards.
  • Understand and follow department and company health and safety rules.
  • Competently perform the duties of a Plating Operator and take on other tasks as required.
