We are seeking a QA Engineer to work for an international manufacturer based in Kent.

Applicants should have experience conducting internal audits to AS9100 standard. Permanent FT. 37.5 hours pw. Working pattern; Monday to Thursday; 8am to 4.30pm and Friday; 8am to 1.30pm. This role is 100% site based.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • The initial investigation, containment of stock and Work-in-Progress of Customer reported non-conforming product concerns and issuing RMAs.
  • Communicating to the customer within 24 hours receipt of returned product, reporting initial findings and containment activity.
  • Responsible for promotion of rapid determinations of returned product and interacting with all Departments & MEQA for 5Y/8D CAPA actions and continual improvement of processes ensuring robust and effective closure of customers’ concerns.
  • Responsible for the FRACAS Database, managing FRACAS closure, ensuring that Investigator activity is correctly recorded with appropriate supporting evidence then forwarded to the customer.

Essential Experience:

• Experience conducting internal audits to AS9100 standard.

• Experience of manufacturing, with the ability to understand manufacturing processes and problem solve.

• Metrology knowledge using Verniers, Micrometers and DTIs.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• High levels of engineering acuity, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Qualification:

• AS9100 qualified Internal Auditor

• 8D Training
