Chemical Analyst - Whitstable

Are you a Chemical Analyst with a passion for precision and a methodical approach to process improvement? We're looking for an analytical thinker with knowledge of electroplating and industrial chemical processes to join our team in Whitstable.

About the Role:

As a Chemical Analyst, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving chemical processes in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure that chemical finishing solutions meet company standards for quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance. This role involves routine chemical analysis, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with production teams to ensure optimal process performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine chemical analysis of solutions and materials.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for analytical techniques and quality records.
  • Monitor and operate the wastewater effluent system and manage hazardous waste disposal.
  • Support technical problem-solving on the shop floor and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, including COSHH regulations and risk assessments.

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree or HND in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience or knowledge of industrial electroplating processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with COSHH and environmental permits.
  • A methodical approach to process improvement and development.
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift system (6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:30pm).
