Site Engineer - Groundworks, Drainage & Roadworks - Kent

A leading civil engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Kent. This exciting opportunity involves a comprehensive package of groundworks, drainage, and roadworks, contributing to a project that will significantly enhance the region's infrastructure. What You'll Do:

  • Play a key role in the successful execution of the groundworks, drainage, and roadworks package, ensuring adherence to project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the construction team, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee setting out and leveling operations, ensuring accurate placement of structures and utilities.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards.

What We Need:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks, drainage, or road construction projects.
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to these disciplines.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software for setting out and leveling operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
  • A commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
