Location: Whitstable/Haywards Heath/Manchester (Flexible hybrid working: 1 day a week in the office)

Hours: 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for the scheduling and testing of product rates updates, fixes and new developments across a variety of product lines and systems. This will constitute a mix of excel based spreadsheets, ReadyAPI projects and direct software house unit testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the business to organise updates into sprints using our Service Now ticketing portal.
  • Updating, running and maintaining excel-based testpacks.
  • Reporting issues in an appropriate manner to be fixed.
  • Analysing product updates for testing purposes.
  • Writing and running new assertion based testing within ReadyAPI.
  • Running unit based testing against Landscape or software house systems.
  • Creating and/or refining testing processes.
  • Working closely with underwriting, product writing and scheduling to maintain and improve the speed of delivery.

Regular tasks

  • Adding testing timescales to rates updates and developments.
  • Returning testing queries to underwriting and product writing.
  • Keeping track of testing volume and time spent on individual tickets.

  • Desirable - ReadyAPI, Java or other coding experience.
  • Desirable - Experience with software house front-end systems.
  • Desirable - General motor and home insurance knowledge.
