This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a great company and gain an Apprenticeship, working with industry experts in a friendly welcoming environment. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of this specialised sector.The Apprenticeship will be a mix of online and Face to Face through Microsoft Education, there will also be the need to visit a external training centre 3 times during the course (So you must be flexible to travel for this)The course covers the following areas, all of which you will gain first hand experience of on site:

  • Conduct thorough examinations and maintenance of equipment
  • Identify parts and timings required to carry out installation, repair and maintenance activities
  • Carry out maintenance and replace parts
  • Manage work allocation making use of IT and paper based planning systems
  • Carry out maintenance on manually operated appliances
  • Maintain mechanical tools and those needing calibration and ensure the workshop is kept tidy
  • Give guidance to customers and clients, including information on parts and accessories
  • Full assembly of products according to industry standards
  • Safely decommission equipment
  • Prepare reports using clear, concise language appropriate to the target audience
  • Maintain safety for self and others

Skills/Qualifications required:

  • Positive can do attitude
  • Willingness to learn and develop knowledge through extensive studies
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • An interest in engineering

This is a full time/permanent opportunity and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00Salary: £22500 - £23000 per annum
