Are you an experienced Legal Secretary with a passion for supporting vulnerable clients? Join our dedicated Vulnerable Client team and make a meaningful impact on our clients’ lives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage electronic diaries, book rooms, and arrange meetings to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaise with clients and firm contacts via telephone, providing professional and empathetic communication.
  • Use the digital transcription system, Bighand, to create letters, emails, and documents efficiently.
  • Utilize a case management system for wills and probate matters, ensuring accurate and timely handling of sensitive information.
  • Photocopy and scan documents, maintaining orderly electronic files for easy access and reference.
  • Attend occasional client meetings and accompany fee earners on home visits when required, providing essential support and representation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Vulnerable/Private Client department.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact sensitively with clients both face-to-face and on the telephone.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is useful but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a flexible attitude towards tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and client needs.
