The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee warehouse operations and drive efficiency within a growing team. You will play a key role in day-to-day activities, including assembly, pick-pack, and dispatch, while contributing to the introduction of new technologies and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations: Manage receiving, storage, assembly, pick-pack, and dispatch processes to ensure efficient workflows and on-time order fulfilment.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and schedule staff to maintain a productive, safe, and well-organised working environment.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate stock control, implement measures to reduce waste, and optimise storage processes.
- Quality and Compliance: Uphold quality standards, enforce safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance through ongoing training and reviews.
- Vendor & Client Coordination: Handle consignments, manage order discrepancies, process returns, and maintain professional relationships with vendors and customers.
- System Implementation: Lead the implementation and onboarding of a new barcode system, ensuring smooth integration and providing training to team members.
About You:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse leadership role.
- Proficient in warehouse and inventory systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with project management tools and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory and order processing.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence is essential.
- Experience in implementing and training teams on new warehouse technologies is highly desirable.
- Due to the location of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
