We’re seeking a Design and Development Engineer to join our well-established client due to expansion!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing full product specifications for manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met according to the New Product Introduction (NPI) timeline.
  • Create detailed manufacturing instructions for new products.
  • Address design and manufacturing challenges early in the product development process.
  • Work from design briefs to resolve issues and generate detailed drawings for complex or custom designs.
  • Manage and control design drawings throughout the process.
  • Stay updated on emerging manufacturing technologies and methods.
  • Collaborate with both internal teams and external customers during the design phase.
  • Assist in designing and developing test rigs for product evaluation.
  • Ensuring products are compliant with all regulations.
  • Any other duties required.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Educated to BEng level in Engineering or Scientific.
  • Experience in Design Engineering ideally within the Automotive or Aerospace industry.
  • Willing to be hands-on, creating products beyond the 3D modelling stage, and into the testing stage to then make alterations where necessary.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with multiple departments.
