This role involves designing and developing mechanical components and systems for a variety of applications, working within a dynamic engineering team.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
Knowledge of materials, machining, and fabrication processes
Experience with designing for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of industry standards and regulations

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies
Producing detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and BOMs
Collaborating with production and engineering teams to optimize designs for manufacturing
Conducting design analysis, calculations, and validation testing
Troubleshooting design issues and implementing improvements
Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Supporting new product development initiatives
Liaising with suppliers and customers regarding technical specifications
