- Carry out electroplating and metal finishing of components
- Follow the production plan and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify and implement the correct method of jigging for a range of parts
- Safely handle chemicals in accordance with procedures within the plating department.
- Utilize x-ray spectrometer and other quality monitoring equipment to measure plating thickness and conduct visual inspections
- Understand and comply with departmental and company health and safety rules and procedures.
- Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, Grade C or above.
- Experience: Proven manufacturing experience; experience working within a team.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and understand drawings, manufacturing instructions, process instructions, and specifications.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Very high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Safety conscious.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Experience: Previous electroplating experience or relevant knowledge.
