Assistant Project Manager

On site 5 days

East Kent

£35-40k + car allowance + benefits + bonus

Rare opportunity for an Engineering professional to join a market leading business within a small but busy Project Management team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in new product development looking to move into Project Management long term.

Duties include:

  • Overseeing new product development projects, including reporting on project process, budgets, scheduling, risk management, resource management
  • Working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Analysis and reporting on various elements of the project
  • Using your experience in new product development in order to ensure smooth running of projects
  • Offering financial reports including forecasts, estimates and managing budgets
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Working to deadlines and ensuring adherence to KPIs
  • Any other duties required.

The successful Project Manager role will:

  • Have significant experience working within New Product Development / Innovation with a track record of understanding the NP process end to end
  • Ideally have experience with safety critical projects
  • Ideally have some Project Management experience, be wanting to develop career in this area
  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent within Engineering or Science
  • Have analytical and data analysis skills
  • Have outstanding communication skills, able to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Have clear leadership and organizational skills demonstrated through a track record and personal presentation
  • Be focused on working towards a common goal with a team orientated, logical and results focused mentality
  • Be tech savvy with top skills using systems and softwares
  • Be focused on continuous improvement, with LEAN skills training such as 5S
