Lead Design Engineer (Research & Development)

£50,000 - £55,000 + Mon-Fri + Progression + Company Benefits

Are you a Design Engineer or similar with a background in CATIA or Solidworks looking to work in a Lead Research and Development role for a global company, who will give you a variety of interesting projects to work on and the opportunity to play a leading role in the department by mentoring junior members of the team?

In this leading dynamic role, you will be responsible for mentoring and providing guidance to Junior Engineers, the full NPI product lifecycle from conception to delivery, input on strategic development, creating manufacturing specifications and testing the quality of products ensuring they meet standards and align with documentation

This role would suit a Design Engineer or similar looking for a technical lead position with a global company, who have a growing workload in cutting edge, technological industries and will give you the opportunity to become a significant player with in the Research and Development team.

The Role:

  • Technical Leadership - guiding Junior Engineers
  • Creation of quotes for NPI's
  • Product Feasibility projects
  • Quality Assurance of products to specifications
  • Mon - Thurs (8-4:30PM), Friday (8-1PM)

The Person:

  • Design Engineer or similar
  • Background in Solidworks or CATIA
  • Commutable to Whitstable
