Are you a passionate and dedicated Functional Skills Maths Instructor looking for a rewarding role in a supportive educational setting? We are seeking an experienced instructor to deliver engaging and accessible Functional Skills Maths sessions at a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Whitstable.
Role Details:- Location: Whitstable, Kent
- Start Date: Immediate start
- Hours: 2-hour teaching session per day + 1 hour paid planning time
- Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing
- Deliver high-quality Functional Skills Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, adapting teaching strategies to engage and support learners.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid development.
- Work collaboratively with staff to support the overall well-being and academic progress of students.
- Previous experience teaching Functional Skills Maths, ideally within an SEN/SEMH setting.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a compassionate, student-centred approach.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
