The Fire Risk Assessor RoleAs a Fire Risk Assessor, you will play a key role in conducting fire risk assessments for various building types across multiple sectors. You will be responsible for producing fire safety reports in line with current UK legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. You will liaise with clients, providing expert advice on fire safety management and compliance, perform audits, and support the development of fire risk mitigation strategies. A thorough understanding of fire safety regulations and best practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct fire risk assessments for a diverse range of building types
- Develop detailed fire safety reports and management plans
- Advise clients on fire safety compliance and mitigation strategies
- Ensure fire safety measures meet the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Liaise with local fire authorities and approval bodies regarding fire safety designs
- Stay current with UK fire safety legislation and regulations
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the Fire Risk Assessment field
- Broad experience across various projects and sectors
- Membership with a recognised fire safety body (e.g., IFSM, IFE)
- NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, offering clear, concise advice
- Familiarity with PAS 79 and BS 9999 standards
- Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £65,000 (DOE)
