We are seeking a motivated Assistant/Intermediate Estimator who is eager to develop their career in the construction industry. Youwill play a key role in supporting the estimation process for theirdiverse range of projects. Key responsibilities of this requirement include;

  • Estimating: Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction and fit-out projects.
  • Tender Preparation: Support the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements and costs.
  • Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotes.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities in the tendering process, recommending strategies to address them.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the senior estimating team, project managers, and other departments to ensure cohesive project planning and execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of estimation processes and tools.

Qualifications and experience required;

  • Previous experience in an estimating role within the construction industry.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with estimation software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A degree or qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable.
