Job Description:
As aQuantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our roofing projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and sub-contractors to control costs, manage contracts, and ensure the successful financial delivery of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for roofing projects.
• Manage the tendering process, negotiate contracts, and appoint sub-contractors.
• Monitor project costs, ensuring roofing projects stay within budget and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare and manage bills of quantities, costings, and valuations for roofing materials and labour.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide financial advice to the project team.
• Work with project managers to ensure timely and accurate payments to sub-contractors.
• Handle variations, claims, and contract amendments as required.
• Ensure all projects comply with contractual obligations and health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and financial transparency.
• Prepare and present financial progress reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the roofing or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, and cost management.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
