Your new companyYou will be working for an Essex-based specialist steelwork contractor with a vast project portfolio ranging from singular steel beam supply to multimillion pound steel projects.Your new roleAs the senior designer, you will be working on a variety of project sizes, from small staircases to large industrial builds. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design team and allocating the works appropriately.
- Ensure compliance of designs with building regulations and design intents.
- Work closely with clients and project management team
- Site surveys
- Ensure works are correct and uploaded to relevant project files
- Management of client platforms
- Liaise with project engineers and architects.
- Ensuring full compliance from the drawing office with regard to UK-CA ES BN 1090 and ISO 9001.
What you'll need to succeed
- Specific experience in the steel industry as an advanced steel/tekla draughtsman
- Experience in developing GA's & details for steelwork and metal work from Architect/Engineers drawings and site measurements, and subsequent fabrication drawings.
