Our client, a well establishedprivately owned Freight Forwarder based in Wickford, have an exciting opportunity for an Export Operator to join their team.
The job will cover all modes but handling predominantly sea freight exports.
Joining an established team, the successful candidate will be involved with all aspects of the export process with the enthusiasm to manage Key Accounts, and be commercially minded.
They are ideally looking for a candidate with 1-2 years export sea freight experience, however full training will be offered for the right candidate.
Main duties will include:
- Quotations
- Negotiating rates with shipping companies
- Taking bookings for export shipments
- Following the loading process and liaising with the load sites if any shipments run behind schedule
- Completing export customs entries & VGM
- Preparing export documentation
- Invoicing files
The candidate should have:
- Experience of Sea freight exports
- Attention to detail.
- Must seek to build good relationships with customers.
- Good customer service and telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
- MultiFreight experience desirable
Salary between 30-32K for the right person with experience, along with career progression and training.
