This is a great opportunity, working alongside a great team. My client is a well established main contractor working with a strong pipeline of projects throughout 2025.
The Role:
- Investigate new potential suppliers to strengthen the supply chain
- Provide site material accruals on a monthly basis
- Project and report material cost increases as they arise
- Sourcing, negotiating purchasing materials & plant machinery
- Understanding of project contractual requirements and ensure these are relayed to suppliers and sub-contractors as required
- Work alongside the Estimating/Preconstruction team with cost analysis
This well established and respected contractor is looking for:
- Previous experience as a Buyer working for a Main contracting business
- Be able to understand construction drawings and components
- Negotiation skills
- Team Player
- Self starter and organisational skills
Role: Construction Buyer
Location: Essex, Wickford
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: Upto 55k - Negotiable and additional package
